One of the top excuses I hear from lazy people who have given up is “It takes money to make money.”
I see where they’re coming from… because yes, there ARE ways to make money from money.
But the people who say this 1) have given up on trying to make money long ago and 2) wouldn’t know what to do if they HAD money (to make money).
The truth is…
It does NOT take money to make money. That’s just an excuse people make up once they’ve given up trying.
So what is it then?
Well we know that it takes things like working hard, staying disciplined, constant learning, daily hustle, being relentless and thinking big, spending countless hours “behind the scenes” working while everyone else wastes time, watches Netflix, or parties…
Sounds like a lot of effort?
Well, those are all true… But even before you GET to that level, it takes something else.
So what does it TRULY take to make money?
What’s the secret?
Here’s the secret.
It takes courage.
The hardest part is getting started. And what makes the difference between a successful start and an unsuccessful one?
You’ll need to build up your courage to the point where you can actually will something into existence.
Courage is VITAL for staying outside of your comfort zone.
Even if you successfully start and are making great money in the flipping business (or even something like making great progress in the gym), it’ll take courage to stay away from laziness, bad habits, or whatever else might bring you down.
Confidence and optimism are also key factors.
Courage is staying optimistic and positive through the hardest times, even when things are looking completely gloomy and you want to quit.
You WILL have doubts.
But as long as you can revisit your big goals and re-spark your fire (optimism and confidence), you will always find the courage to overcome any downfall that will come your way.
Above all, have the courage to face this fact.
It doesn’t take money to make money.
It takes time, energy, creativity, and courage.
In every part of life there are results and there are excuses.
Results are what will make you a success.
Results are what constantly moves us forward as a society.
Excuses on the other hand are dangerous and will steal away time and results from you. They will keep you in a comfort zone and they don’t help anybody else out either.
You can make money or you can make excuses but you can’t make both.
Excuses usually being with the word “BUT”.
The most dangerous word in the English language is the word “BUT”.
It’s a word that people use that allows them to stay in the comfort zone.
Start being conscious of your use of that word, and completely cut it out.
Remember.
It doesn’t take money to make money.
It doesn’t take money to be successful.
It takes courage.
