You’re gonna love this post for a few reasons:

1. You’re gonna learn how to make easy money flipping BOOKS!
2. Because books can yield great profits, AND because they are physically small (unlike furniture and other bulky items), you can flip them in HIGH VOLUMES!
3. I don’t care if you’re jobless or HAVE a job… This is something you can do starting — right now. Yes you reading this right now.

So let’s get right into it!

Thrift stores are loaded with books.

If you’ve ever been to the book section inside of any Goodwill, Savers, Value Village, Salvation Army — pretty much ANY thrift store — you’ll see that they’ve got hundreds and hundreds of books.

And get this: the majority of people who actually go to thrift stores to shop… they don’t buy books. They buy other things like clothing, electronics, furniture, knick-knacks, and everything else.

They just don’t go to thrift stores for books.

Full Disclosure: I actually buy a TON of books from thrift stores because I’m a big reader! If you’re a big reader too, thrift stores have a GOLDMINE of some of the best personal development, business, and marketing books (and others as well if you’re into fiction and stuff). I’ve got 5 bookshelves of 200+ books in my house — and I’d say 80% of them are from thrift stores!

Tons of people donate their old (and new) books to thrift stores all the time and a lot of times they’ve got some of the best books there! Best books as in valuable books you can buy and sell for a profit.

Now you might be thinking, “Alright dude, there’s no way I’m gonna make much money on a book. They’re just like $0.99, $2.00, $3.00, right? How will I profit from that?”

True, for most books, you won’t make a huge profit trying to sell them. BUT — there are books out there that go for $60, $70, $80, and even $100! So how do you find the good ones?

Well, let me first tell you a story.

A couple weeks ago I went to a thrift store and I bought a bunch of books for myself.

The cashier guy started telling me about this older guy that he sees coming in all the time.

He says to me,

“There’s this guy who comes here every day and he’s always scanning these books on his phone. He has an app on his phone that scans the barcodes, which looks up the book’s price and value on Amazon. So if the book is worth a lot of money, he buys the book and sells it for a profit. If it’s not, he puts it back on the shelf and moves onto the next book.”

The guy told me this guy makes $6,000/month flipping books this way! He literally walks into a thrift store and goes through all these books, scans them on his phone and brings them home, posts them up for sale on Amazon and sells them.

Using an Amazon scanning app gives you the ability to use your phone’s camera to scan any barcode (UPC) of any book and instantly see the competitive pricing data you need to make a good buying decision. The only scanner app I use that’s super straightforward, easy to use, and 100% free is literally called “Barcode Scanner for Amazon Shopping” (the link to it is here for Android and here for iOS)

Now most of the books that can bring back a nice profit and you should be looking for are medical books, certain art and Design books, as well as many hardcover books that can be worth a lot of money.

And other times you might even find rare books that are selling for loads of cash. It’s really hard to say specifically since there are so many options and categories of books — that you just have to get familiar  with and start doing it yourself until you notice trends or find your groove or niche of books.

Imagine you walking into a thrift store and finding 3 books that are worth $80 each. You just just made $240 (minus the $6 or whatever you spent to buy the books).

What would you do with an extra $240 cash?

Think about it — you walk into a thrift store, you have an app that actually SCANS the book’s barcode and tells you right away what it’s worth.

You pick up the book, scan it, and BOOM, you see the price.

What was that, 6 seconds?

Now imagine this…

You go through 100 books. Now you probably won’t go through THIS many because you should be very selective, but let’s just say you’re starting out and you don’t really know what to look for, so you go through 100.

Let’s say each book takes you 6 seconds to scan and get the price.

That’s 600 seconds total, divided by 60, that’s 10 minutes.

In 10 minutes, you can scan 100 books and get the price value for each.

Now let’s say you found a book that’s worth $50 on Amazon and it’s $2 at the thrift store. You sell it and you make $48 right?

You just made $48 in 10 minutes. How does making $48 in 10 minutes of ‘work’ sound to you?

That’s $48 you could use to go pay down your credit card.

Or $48 you could use to go take your date out to dinner AND a movie AND popcorn!

Or $48 you could add to your “flip money” savings that you started and decided you wanted to grow so you could invest in bigger things.

Either way — the choice is yours — and you creatively made that money in 10 minutes (while it’d take most of your friends a couple hours of working at their jobs to make that… but don’t tell them about your new skills).

But if you’re reading this, you’re probably a hustler and wanna take it further.

So let’s take it further.

Let’s say that the majority of books you’re going through are worth $20 online (much more common and likely).

You go through 100 books in 10 minutes, and you find 50 books that are worth $20 each online (you see ones that are worth less, but you’re only looking for ones that are worth at LEAST $20).

So you buy the books at $2, right?

$2 x 50 books = $100 YOU’D have to invest out of your own pocket.

Now how much profit will you be making on all these books?

$18 a piece, right?

50 books x $18 = $900 profit

If someone came up to you and said they’d give you $900 cash if you gave them $100, would you hesitate?

What would you do with an extra $900? I can think of a bunch of different stuff:

• Plane ticket + fully paid vacation somewhere (or even overseas — I’ve funded a 2 week vacation to Thailand with flipping money).
  
  
• Paying down debt/credit cards making you finally stress-free!
  
  
• Buying a cheap used car on Craigslist! (Flipping Ninja Pro-Tip: Look for ones that are $1,100 – $1,300, and try offering $900 cash from there and negotiating down)
  
  
• Buying cool toys/gadgets you want (Or upgrading phones? I just got the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and it is freakin’ phenomenal)
  
  
• And much more

But most importantly, think about the confidence and comfort you’ll experience knowing you just made $900 bucks in a day.

Specifically, $900 in 10 minutes plus the time it took you to post them on Amazon (which once you setup a little process and system for this, you’ll be able to post each one in minutes).

And then all you’re doing is just shipping them out. You can ship them out from your house. You could pick up shipping packages (which are available FREE at any nearby Post Office), put the books inside, print out the label, stick it on and drop the book in your mailbox (or at a post office).

As you can see, books can be outrageously profitable as a Flipping Ninja!

Next time you walk into a thrift store, just imagine spending 10 minutes at the book section… and walking out having made $50, $100, $600, or even more depending on if you want to go high volume, low margins (which basically means a low profit margin for each book, but getting a LOT of books to make up for it and add up).

And that’s just ONE thrift store. Imagine taking it to the next level:

You wake up one Saturday morning and you hit up 5 thrift stores in your area.

BOOM! You just multiplied that by 5. And how much time have you spent total making this money?

I don’t know. 5 hours? 6 hours? Maybe even the whole day? WHO CARES!

At this point, the question is: would you spend a whole Saturday making $800 or $900? I would.

I mean in one day? Heck yeah.

Then afterwards, you can go out and celebrate and treat yourself. And the most ironic part of it all is… most people “treat themselves” or celebrate after a lot of hard work… But you, doing what you do, I mean come on… did you really work “hard”? I’ll leave that one up to you. ;)

I hope this opens your eyes and shows you the potential of the book niche and how you can go out and start making money TODAY!

Oh and one more thing before I forget.

As another positive — think about this. There are SO many niches besides books that have money waiting for you. Imagine confidently walking into a thrift store and knowing exactly what to buy, knowing what’s profitable, and walking out having made more money than you would have made in a week of working.

Books are just one category. There are so many other niches and it’s literally a goldmine. Now you’re entering true Flipping Ninja territory when you can go anywhere and make money with your new superpowers and knowledge.

And now you’re not just doing it here and there, you actually get to a point where you’re doing it regularly and consistently…

And you’re making $1,000, $2,000, or even $3,000+/month “on the side”? How would that change your life?

Think about it, that’s all.
